Marcia Wissing Ruhl
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t really enjoy jewelry. During my
entire adult life I looked for an artistic, creative outlet. Failing painting. throwing clay and a bunch of other things, I stumbled upon jewelry design. Over the 20+ years I have been doing this, my designs have morphed into unique, hand crafted fine pieces of jewelry. I use only fine silver (.999 pure), sterling silver (.925) and gold plated metals in every piece.
My beads are only of the highest quality and include precious and semi- precious gems, agates, minerals… These beads include lapis, peridot, citrine, aquamarine, tourmaline, emerald, sapphire, ruby, sea jasper and many more.
About The Jewelry
Marcia utilizes an almost unlimited
array of high-quality components from
around the world.
I am very eclectic when it comes to purchasing components to utilize in my work. I choose stones which are well matched to each other and are of high quality. My materials come primarily from the Tucson Gem and Mineral show (which is apparently the largest such show in the world) where I have access to beads and other components from around the world. Also I shop for beads when I travel looking for local flavor and uniqueness.
I utilize all kinds of crystals including Swarovski and Austrian. Many precious and semi-precious beads, various minerals and agates, coral (which was harvested already dead), lapis, malachite, freshwater pearls, aquamarine, apatite, turquoise, amethyst and too many others to mention, go into my work. All metals including clasps, chains, spacers…are either .925 (sterling silver), .999 (fine silver) or gold plated which all meet industry standards for purity and in the case of gold plate, the thickness of gold. The fine silver is only present in pieces which are created from Art Clay Silver or PMC which I will explain further.

Custom Work
I welcome requests for custom creations. I am able to match an outfit, even if it consists of a multicolor pattern or needs something for a special neckline. My custom work includes matching pieces or different designs with the same stones for weddings, Quinceanera’s or other special events.
